1950 – Peter Marinello

Peter Marinello is a former Scottish football player.

Marinello started his career at Hibernian, and could play either as a centre forward or right winger. He was regarded as being talented enough there that he was dubbed “the next George Best” by the British press.

Marinello played 110 times for Portsmouth scoring 10 goals between 1973 – 1975

1953 – David Kemp

David Michael Kemp is an English former professional footballer and manager. And is currently Assistant Manager at Middlesbrough FC.

Kemp began his career with Harrow Borough, subsequently playing for Maidenhead United and Slough Town before joining Crystal Palace in April 1975. He moved to Portsmouth in November 1976 and was their leading goalscorer in both the 1976–77 and 1977–78 seasons, despite not playing a full season for the club. A hugely popular player whilst at the club he even featured in Roy of the Rovers magazine photographed alongside his fictional goalscoring counterpart

During the time he played for Pompey, a song was sung in his honour, to the tune of Lily The Pink. It is a song that is still sung today (2017). Kemp’s reputation as a fans’ favourite was further enhanced when he was inducted into the Portsmouth Hall of Fame in April, 2016

He moved to Carlisle United in March 1978, moving to Plymouth Argyle in September 1979 for a then club record fee of £75,000. He had loan spells with Gillingham (December 1981) and Brentford (March 1982) before joining NASL side Edmonton Drillers in June 1982. He spent the 1983 NASL season with Seattle Sounders and also played for San José Earthquakes before leaving the sinking ship of the NASL in 1984 for the Oklahoma City Stampede of the short-lived United Soccer League (he accrued the 2nd-highest points total in the league).

Kemp played 74 times for Portsmouth scoring 38 goals between 1976 – 1978

1954 – Anthony Stewart Head

Anthony Stewart Head is an English actor and musician. He rose to fame in the UK following his role in the Gold Blend couple television advertisements for Nescafé Gold Blend, and is known for his roles as Rupert Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Uther Pendragon in Merlin, the Prime Minister in Little Britain, and as Herc Shipwright in BBC Radio 4’s Cabin Pressure.

Rodney G. Rowland is an American actor. He is credited as Rod Rowland in more recent productions, given his predilection to being called Rod. Rowland’s most noted appearances to date were as 1st Lieutenant Cooper Hawkes in 1995’s Space: Above and Beyond and P. Wiley in The 6th Day, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

1978 – Lauren Ambrose

Lauren Ambrose (born Lauren Anne D’Ambruoso) is an American actress and singer. She is known for her television roles as Claire Fisher in Six Feet Under (2001–2005), for which she won two Screen Actors Guild Awards; and as Jilly Kitzinger in Torchwood: Miracle Day (2011). Her film credits include Can’t Hardly Wait (1998), Psycho Beach Party (2000) and Where the Wild Things Are (2009).

She is the lead singer of the ragtime band Lauren Ambrose and the Leisure Class.

1950 – Richard Dean Anderson

Richard Dean Anderson is an American actor and producer. He began his television career in 1976, playing Dr. Jeff Webber in the American soap-opera series General Hospital, then rose to prominence as the lead actor in the television series MacGyver (1985–1992). He later appeared in films such as Through the Eyes of a Killer (1992), Pandora’s Clock (1996), and Firehouse (1997).

In 1997, Anderson returned to television as the lead actor of the series Stargate SG-1, a spin-off of the 1994 film Stargate. He played the lead from 1997 to 2005 and had a recurring role from 2005 to 2007. Since 1997, he has starred in only one film: Stargate: Continuum, released in 2008, as a spin-off film after the Stargate SG-1 series finale in 2007. He appears in the follow-up Stargate series Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate: Universe (as Major General and later Lieutenant General Jack O’Neill).
