1956 – Peter Hook

Peter Hook is an English singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He is best known as the bassist and co-founder of English rock bands Joy Division and New Order.

Hook formed the band which was to become Joy Division with Bernard Sumner in 1976. Following the death of lead singer Ian Curtis in 1980, the band reformed as New Order, and Hook played bass with them until 2007.

Hook has recorded one album with Revenge (One True Passion), two albums with Monaco (Music for Pleasure and Monaco) and one album with Freebass (It’s a Beautiful Life), serving as bassist, keyboardist and lead vocalist. He is currently the lead singer and bassist for Peter Hook and the Light.

David Pullar  is an English former footballer who played as a winger.

Pullar began his career at Portsmouth before moving to Exeter City in 1979. He played a role in the Grecians’ most successful period in the Third Division, including an 8th-place finish in 1980 and a famous FA Cup run in 1981, before joining Crewe Alexandra in 1983 where he spent four years.

Peter Hugh Dennis, known professionally as Hugh Dennis, is an English comedian, actor, writer, impressionist and voice-over artist, best known for being one half of Punt and Dennis with comedy partner Steve Punt, and playing Pete Brockman, the father in the BBC One sitcom Outnumbered. Since 2005, Dennis has been a regular panellist on the BBC Two satirical comedy show Mock the Week. Since October 2014, Dennis has appeared in the sitcom Not Going Out as Toby.

1948 – John Carpenter

John Howard Carpenter is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, musician, editor and composer. Although Carpenter has worked with various film genres, he is associated most commonly with horror, action and science fiction films of the 1970s and 1980s.

Most films of Carpenter’s career were initially commercial and critical failures, with the notable exceptions of Halloween (1978), The Fog (1980), Escape from New York (1981), and Starman (1984). However, many of Carpenter’s films from the 1970s and the 1980s have come to be considered as cult classics, and he has been acknowledged as an influential filmmaker. The cult classics that Carpenter has directed include the films Dark Star (1974), Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), The Thing (1982), Christine (1983), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Prince of Darkness (1987), They Live (1988) and In the Mouth of Madness (1995).

Carpenter is also notable for having composed or co-composed most of his films’ music; some of them are now well-known, with the main theme of Halloween being considered a part of popular culture. He won a Saturn Award for Best Music for the film Vampires (1998). Carpenter has released three studio albums, titled Lost Themes (2015), Lost Themes II (2016), and Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 (2017).

Joelson was born in 1975 in Coquille, Oregon to Ken and Betty Means. She was crowned Miss Coos County in 1993. She was married to fellow Oregonian Greg Joelson (played 4 games in NFL in 1991) when she won Fitness America’s Miss Fitness USA competition in 1997. She married Michael Lohmann in 2004.

Joelson was the co-host of the short-lived summer 1998 MTV series The Daily Burn. Her most recognized movie role is for the 2000 film Bring It On, where she played wealthy cheerleader Darcy. She also had four appearances in the role of Varia, an Amazon, on Xena: Warrior Princess.

1944 – John Milkins

John Milkins was an English professional footballer  whose career ran from the start of the 1960s to the end of the 1970s.

Milkins won one England Youth cap whilst with his first club Portsmouth, to whom he was to give 15 years of loyal service . He made his debut for the first team in their very last match in the English First Division, although he was to wait a further two years for his next appearance. In all Milkins was to make over 300 appearances for Pompey and was to prove such a popular player that in 1970 he was awarded the inaugural Player of the Year trophy. The following year he was awarded a testimonial against local rivals Saints which resulted in an ignominious 0–7 defeat. In the 1974 close season he was sold to Oxford United for whom he played sporadically until his last league appearance in May 1979. He then joined now defunct Southern League side Waterlooville and, after two years as first-choice goalkeeper, became player-manager during the 1981-82 season. At the end of that season he retired from playing but continued as first-team manager until December 1983. During his two years as manager of Waterlooville the club were promoted to the Premier Division, reached the final of the Southern League Cup, and reached the first round proper of the F.A. Cup where they played against league opposition for the only time in their history, losing to Northampton Town after two replays. After being replaced as Waterlooville manager by Ernie Bradwell part-way through the 1983-84 season, Milkins then ran a sports shop/ snooker hall consortium.

Pugh’s debut performance was in the mystery drama The Falling (2014). Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad, commonly known as Frida Lyngstad, or just by the mononym, Frida, is a Norwegian-born Swedish singer, songwriter, and environmentalist. Known for her warm personality, striking auburn hair and rich mezzo-soprano voice, she is best known as one of the lead singers of the Swedish pop band ABBA.

Darryl Anthony Powell is a sports agent and former professional footballer who made more than 350 appearances in the Football League and Premier League and played international football for the Jamaican national team. He usually played as a central midfielder.

The son of a Reggae musician, he was born in Lambeth, London, and his career included spells at English clubs Portsmouth, Derby County, Birmingham City, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest, as well as a stint at Colorado Rapids in the USA. Along with his Derby team-mate Deon Burton he was one of the Reggae Boyz playing for Jamaica in France 98.

Powell has also appeared as a guest on the beach soccer circuit, playing for the England national beach soccer team in an exhibition game in Birmingham.

Válery Mézague was a Cameroonian footballer. He was a midfielder and last played for Sporting Toulon Var.

A French-born player, Mézague represented Cameroon at international level. His most notable moment with the Lions Indomptables was at the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup, where he became the starter central midfielder in the lost final against host France, after replacing the late Marc-Vivien Foé during the victorious semifinal versus Colombia.

In 2003, he was involved in a serious car crash which ruled him out of the game for four months. Despite this he fought back to reclaim his form and his performances attracted the attention of Harry Redknapp, with Mézague joining Portsmouth F.C. on loan for the 2004/05 season. However, he failed to make any sort of substantial impression and returned to France in June 2005, where he followed his former manager at Portsmouth Alain Perrin to FC Sochaux-Montbéliard.

Paul John McGann is an English actor. He came to prominence for portraying Percy Toplis in the 1986 television serial The Monocled Mutineer. He later starred in the 1987 dark comedy Withnail and I, and as the eighth incarnation of the Doctor in the 1996 Doctor Who television film, a role he reprised in more than 70 audio dramas and the 2013 mini-episode “The Night of the Doctor”. McGann is also known for playing Lieutenant William Bush in the Hornblower TV series.

De Pablo co-hosted episodes of the Latin-American talk show Control with former Entertainment Tonight host, Carlos Ponce, at the age of 15 before attending Carnegie Mellon University to study music and theatre. After appearing in a number of television roles, she was cast to portray main character Ziva David in the CBS television series NCIS in 2005. De Pablo won an ALMA Award for the role in 2011, and NCIS became the most watched television program in the United States during season 10 (2012–13).
