1956 – Peter Hook

Peter Hook is an English singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He is best known as the bassist and co-founder of English rock bands Joy Division and New Order.

Hook formed the band which was to become Joy Division with Bernard Sumner in 1976. Following the death of lead singer Ian Curtis in 1980, the band reformed as New Order, and Hook played bass with them until 2007.

Hook has recorded one album with Revenge (One True Passion), two albums with Monaco (Music for Pleasure and Monaco) and one album with Freebass (It’s a Beautiful Life), serving as bassist, keyboardist and lead vocalist. He is currently the lead singer and bassist for Peter Hook and the Light.

1959 – Dave Pullar

David Pullar  is an English former footballer who played as a winger.

Pullar began his career at Portsmouth before moving to Exeter City in 1979. He played a role in the Grecians’ most successful period in the Third Division, including an 8th-place finish in 1980 and a famous FA Cup run in 1981, before joining Crewe Alexandra in 1983 where he spent four years.

Pullar played 105 times for Portsmouth scoring 7 goals between 1976 – 1979

1962 – Hugh Dennis

Peter Hugh Dennis, known professionally as Hugh Dennis, is an English comedian, actor, writer, impressionist and voice-over artist, best known for being one half of Punt and Dennis with comedy partner Steve Punt, and playing Pete Brockman, the father in the BBC One sitcom Outnumbered. Since 2005, Dennis has been a regular panellist on the BBC Two satirical comedy show Mock the Week. Since October 2014, Dennis has appeared in the sitcom Not Going Out as Toby.

1968 – Kelly Hu

Kelly Ann Hu is an American actress, voice artist, former fashion model and beauty queen. She was Miss Teen USA 1985 and Miss Hawaii USA 1993. Hu starred as Dr. Rae Chang on the American television soap opera Sunset Beach and as Michelle Chan on the American television police drama series Nash Bridges. She has also starred in numerous films including The Scorpion King (2002) as Sorceress Cassandra, Cradle 2 the Grave (2003) as Sona, X2 as Yuriko Oyama/Lady Deathstrike (2003), The Tournament (2009) as Lai Lai Zhen, and White Frog (2012).

Hu has had recurring roles as Pearl on the CW series The Vampire Diaries, as China White on the CW series Arrow, as Abigail Cho on the Syfy series Warehouse 13, as Stacy Hirano in the animated series Phineas and Ferb, and as Oroku Karai/Hamato Miwa on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

1979 – Mena Suvari

Mena Alexandra Suvari is an American actress, fashion designer, and model. Shortly after beginning her career as a model, she appeared in guest roles on such 1990s television shows as Boy Meets World and High Incident.

She made her film debut in the drama Nowhere (1997). She achieved international fame for her roles as Angela Hayes in American Beauty and Heather Gardner in American Pie (both 1999), the former earning her a BAFTA Award nomination. She reprised her role as Heather in American Pie 2 (2001) and American Reunion (2012). She also appeared in The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999), Loser (2000), Sugar & Spice (2001), Spun (2002), Trauma (2004), and the HBO drama series Six Feet Under (2001–2005).

Suvari is a model for Lancôme cosmetics and print ads for Lancôme Paris Adaptîve and has been featured in several fashion blogs and magazines such as Vogue. She is a long-time supporter and activist for the African relief organization, the African Medical and Research Foundation.

1956 – Bernard Sumner

Bernard Sumner, also briefly known as Bernard Albrecht, is an English singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. He is a founding member of both Joy Division and New Order, and is widely credited with the latter band’s move towards electronica and synthpop.

Sumner is widely credited in advancing UK dance music, and the popularisation and technological advancement of sequencers. In the early 1990s, he collaborated with former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr as Electronic.

1958 – Matt Frewer

Matthew George Frewer is an American Canadian actor, singer, voice artist and comedian. Acting since 1983, he is best known for portraying the 1980s icon Max Headroom, Hades’ henchman Panic in Hercules (1997), next door neighbor Russell “Big Russ” Thompson in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989), the retired villain Moloch in Watchmen (2009), cancer patient Mitch in 50/50 (2011), Doctor Leekie in the Canadian science fiction drama Orphan Black (2013–17) and Sherlock Holmes in four Hallmark Channel television productions released between 2000 and 2002.

Frewer’s most recent performances include a cameo appearance as the Max Headroom character in the Adam Sandler comedy Pixels (2015), plus a portrayal of “General #2” in the Steven Spielberg picture The BFG (2016) (an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s novel of the same name).

Robin Andrew Guthrie is a Scottish musician, songwriter, composer, record producer and audio engineer, best known as the co-founder of the alternative rock band Cocteau Twins. During his career Guthrie has performed guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums and other musical instruments, in addition to programming, sampling and sound processing.
