1956 – Bernard Sumner

Bernard Sumner, also briefly known as Bernard Albrecht, is an English singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. He is a founding member of both Joy Division and New Order, and is widely credited with the latter band’s move towards electronica and synthpop.

Sumner is widely credited in advancing UK dance music, and the popularisation and technological advancement of sequencers. In the early 1990s, he collaborated with former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr as Electronic.

Matthew George Frewer is an American Canadian actor, singer, voice artist and comedian. Acting since 1983, he is best known for portraying the 1980s icon Max Headroom, Hades’ henchman Panic in Hercules (1997), next door neighbor Russell “Big Russ” Thompson in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989), the retired villain Moloch in Watchmen (2009), cancer patient Mitch in 50/50 (2011), Doctor Leekie in the Canadian science fiction drama Orphan Black (2013–17) and Sherlock Holmes in four Hallmark Channel television productions released between 2000 and 2002.

Frewer’s most recent performances include a cameo appearance as the Max Headroom character in the Adam Sandler comedy Pixels (2015), plus a portrayal of “General #2” in the Steven Spielberg picture The BFG (2016) (an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s novel of the same name).

Jordan Danielle Hinson (born June 4, 1991) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Zoe Carter on the science fiction series Eureka.

Hinson was born in El Paso, Texas. She began acting in plays at the age of six. After moving to Los Angeles, California, Hinson appeared in numerous television commercials.

Hinson made her television movie debut in 2005, starring as aspiring professional figure skater Katelin Kingsford in the Disney Channel Original Movie Go Figure. She had to learn to ice skate for the film and was trained by Olympic choreographer and two-time Emmy winner Sarah Kawahara. She also starred in a direct-to-video film Glass House: The Good Mother opposite Angie Harmon.

Ming-Na Wen is an American actress. (She has been credited with and without her family name “Wen”, but most credits since the late 1990s have been without it. She has been known by such variants of her name as Ming-Na, Ming Na, Ming Na Wen and Ming Wen.) She is known for playing the role of Melinda May in the ABC action drama series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and for voicing Fa Mulan, one of the Disney Princesses, in the films Mulan and Mulan II, the video game Kingdom Hearts II, and in the Disney animated series Sofia the First. Joshua Eli Gomez is an American actor best known for his role as Morgan Grimes on Chuck. He is the younger brother of actor Rick Gomez. Gomez appeared in a recurring role in the CBS series Without a Trace as computer tech James Mackeroy. He appeared in a series of IBM commercials, a series of Wendy’s commercials (Ranch Tooth), and a commercial for Garmin. He also made a cameo on Freddy’s Nightmares. He played Sammy Stinger in Bring It On Again, 2004.

As a voice actor, Gomez played Baralai in the video game Final Fantasy X-2, opposite his brother Rick’s character, Gippal, and as Parker in Turok. He also had a small part at the beginning of BioShock as Johnny. In September 2007, he began starring in the NBC series Chuck as the title character’s friend, Morgan Grimes. Gomez is friends with Chuck co-star, Zachary Levi, in real life. Joshua was nominated for Outstanding Male Performance in the Comedy Television Series at the 2008 ALMA Awards.

1946 – Norman Lovett

Norman Lovett is an English stand-up comedian and actor, best known for the role of Holly in Red Dwarf during the first, second, seventh (as a guest star) and eighth series. His comedy has a quiet, dead-pan surrealism, and in 2000 he made a successful stand up tour, co-headlining with Chris Barrie, who played Rimmer in Red Dwarf. Lovett was born in Windsor, Berkshire.

1950 – John Candy

John Franklin Candy (Died: March 4, 1994) was a Canadian actor and comedian known mainly for his work in Hollywood films. Candy rose to fame as a member of the Toronto branch of the Second City and its related Second City Television series, and through his appearances in such comedy films as Stripes, Splash, Cool Runnings, Summer Rental, The Great Outdoors, Spaceballs, and Uncle Buck, as well as more dramatic roles in Only the Lonely and JFK. One of his most renowned onscreen performances was as Del Griffith, the loquacious, on-the-move shower-curtain ring salesman in the John Hughes comedy Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

While filming the Western parody Wagons East!, Candy died of a heart attack in Durango, Mexico, on March 4, 1994, aged 43. His final two films, Wagons East! and Canadian Bacon, are dedicated to his memory.

Julia Lee Stander is an American actress. Her roles include Anne Steele in Angel (2001–2004) and the title character in the cult comedy film Ophelia Learns to Swim (2001). She has also appeared in Charmed.

In 2006, Disneyland refurbished its Haunted Mansion attraction. For this project, Lee became the body of the character, Constance Hatchaway (voice by Kat Cressida). In 2007, Lee and Cressida’s version of Constance was also installed in Walt Disney World’s Mansion.

Ricardo Dwayne Fuller is a retired Jamaican professional footballer who played as a striker.

Fuller started his football career with Jamaican side Tivoli Gardens, before he moved to England with Crystal Palace in February 2001. He returned to Jamaica and then went on loan to Hearts, before joining Preston North End. He scored 27 goals in 58 League game at Preston, which prompted Portsmouth to pay £1million for his services. Fuller failed to make an impact at Portsmouth and joined rivals Southampton in 2005 before Stoke City signed him for £500,000 in August 2006.

Dannii Minogue is an Australian singer, dancer, songwriter, model, fashion designer, and actress. Dannii rose to prominence in the early 1980s for her roles in the Australian television talent show Young Talent Time with another known fellow Australian Tina Arena and the soap opera Home and Away, before beginning her career as a pop singer in the early 1990s. Minogue achieved early success with hits such as “Love and Kisses”, “This is It”, “Jump to the Beat” and “Baby Love”, though by the release of her second album, her popularity as a singer had declined, leading her to make a name for herself with award-winning performances in musicals with Grease and also in Notre Dame De Paris, as well as other acting credits in The Vagina Monologues and as Lady Macbeth. He worked with film director John Sayles in The Brother from Another Planet (1984), City of Hope (1991) and Lone Star (1996). Other films he appeared in include Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), Of Mice and Men (1992), Speed (1994), Apt Pupil (1998), What Lies Beneath (2000), Ali (2001), Paycheck (2003), Stealth (2005) and American Gangster (2007).

William James Murray is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He first gained exposure on Saturday Night Live, a series of performances that earned him his first Emmy Award, and later starred in comedy films—including Meatballs (1979), Caddyshack (1980), Stripes (1981), Tootsie (1982), Ghostbusters (1984), Scrooged (1988), Ghostbusters II (1989), What About Bob? (1991), and Groundhog Day (1993). He also co-directed Quick Change (1990).

Murray garnered additional critical acclaim later in his career, starring in Lost in Translation (2003), which earned him a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for Best Actor, as well as an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
