Peter Mellor is an English-born American former professional footballer whose playing career as a goalkeeper spanned three decades. He played 17 years in the top three tiers of English professional soccer with Burnley, Fulham, Hereford United, and Portsmouth. He is now a coach, in the United States.

1963 – Ming-Na Wen

Ming-Na Wen is an American actress. (She has been credited with and without her family name “Wen”, but most credits since the late 1990s have been without it. She has been known by such variants of her name as Ming-Na, Ming Na, Ming Na Wen and Ming Wen.) She is known for playing the role of Melinda May in the ABC action drama series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and for voicing Fa Mulan, one of the Disney Princesses, in the films Mulan and Mulan II, the video game Kingdom Hearts II, and in the Disney animated series Sofia the First. She is due to reprise her role as Mulan in Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.

Wen is also known for her role as Dr. Jing-Mei “Deb” Chen on the medical drama series ER. She was the series lead of the show Inconceivable, a medical drama that was aired on NBC, but the show was short-lived. The show is one of the few American television shows with an Asian American series lead. She is also known for her roles on the main casts of the animated series The Batman and the sci-fi series Stargate Universe. Besides television, she is notable for starring in the films The Joy Luck Club, Street Fighter, and Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

1975 – Joshua Gomez

Joshua Eli Gomez is an American actor best known for his role as Morgan Grimes on Chuck. He is the younger brother of actor Rick Gomez. Gomez appeared in a recurring role in the CBS series Without a Trace as computer tech James Mackeroy. He appeared in a series of IBM commercials, a series of Wendy’s commercials (Ranch Tooth), and a commercial for Garmin. He also made a cameo on Freddy’s Nightmares. He played Sammy Stinger in Bring It On Again, 2004.

As a voice actor, Gomez played Baralai in the video game Final Fantasy X-2, opposite his brother Rick’s character, Gippal, and as Parker in Turok. He also had a small part at the beginning of BioShock as Johnny. In September 2007, he began starring in the NBC series Chuck as the title character’s friend, Morgan Grimes. Gomez is friends with Chuck co-star, Zachary Levi, in real life. Joshua was nominated for Outstanding Male Performance in the Comedy Television Series at the 2008 ALMA Awards.

1957 – Karl Wallinger

Karl Edmond De Vere Wallinger is a Welsh musician, songwriter and record producer. He is best known for leading the band World Party and for his mid-1980s stint in The Waterboys. He also wrote and originally released the song “She’s the One”, which was later covered by Robbie Williams and became a hit single.

Wallinger is a multi-instrumentalist, enabling him to demo and record the bulk of World Party material as a one-man band. He plays the guitar left-handed.

1943 – Chevy Chase

Cornelius Crane “Chevy” Chase is an American actor and comedian. Born into a prominent New York family, he worked a variety of jobs before moving into comedy and began acting with National Lampoon. He became a key cast member in the debut season of Saturday Night Live, where his recurring Weekend Update segment soon became a staple of the show. As both a performer and writer, he earned three Primetime Emmy Awards out of five nominations.

Chase had his first leading film role in the comedy Foul Play (1978), earning two Golden Globe Award nominations. He is further known for his portrayals of Clark Griswold in five National Lampoon’s Vacation films and Irwin “Fletch” Fletcher in both Fletch (1985) and Fletch Lives (1989). Other prominent titles include Caddyshack (1980), Seems Like Old Times (1980), Spies Like Us (1985), ¡Three Amigos! (1986), Memoirs of an Invisible Man (1992), Orange County (2002) and Hot Tub Time Machine (2010). He has hosted the Academy Awards twice (1987 and 1988) and briefly had his own late-night talk show, The Chevy Chase Show (1993). He played the character Pierce Hawthorne on the NBC comedy series Community from 2009 to 2012.

Martin Cooper is a painter and a musician. He is the secondary keyboardist and occasional saxophonist for the band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, whom he first joined in 1980.

1962 – Paul Walsh

Paul Anthony Walsh is a former England international footballer who now works as a television pundit.

A pacey and skilful forward, he scored a total of 127 goals in 521 league games in a 17-year career in the Football League and Premier League; he also won five senior caps for England in an eleven-month international career beginning in June 1983. He began his career at Charlton Athletic, making his first team debut aged 16 in September 1979. He helped Charlton to win promotion out of the Third Division in 1980–81, and then won a place on the PFA Team of the Year in 1981–82. He moved from the Second Division into the First Division when Luton Town paid £400,000 to acquire his services in July 1982. He continued to impress, and was named as PFA Young Player of the Year in 1984. He moved to Liverpool for a £700,000 fee in May 1984, and was named in the PFA Team of the Year in his debut season for the club as Liverpool won the league title and the Football League Super Cup. He went on to struggle with injury at Anfield, though still managed to appear in losing finals of the 1984 FA Charity Shield, 1984 European Super Cup, 1985 European Cup, and 1987 Football League Cup, as well as help Liverpool to the league title and FA Cup double in 1985–86, and to finish as runners-up in the league in 1984–85 and 1986–87.

He was sold on to Tottenham Hotspur for a £500,000 fee in February 1988 and played for Spurs in their 1991 FA Cup Final victory over Nottingham Forest. However, he was frozen out of the first team after punching a coach at the club, and after a brief loan spell at Queens Park Rangers was moved on to Portsmouth for a £400,000 fee in June 1992. A popular player at Fratton Park, supporters voted him Player of the Season in 1992–93 and he was named on the PFA Team of the Year in 1993–94. He returned to the top-flight with Manchester City after being signed for £750,000 in March 1994. He returned to Portsmouth for a £600,000 fee in September 1995, but was forced to retire due to cruciate ligament damage in February 1996. After retiring as a player he became a football pundit, and became a regular face on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday. His son, Mason, plays for A.F.C. Bournemouth.

Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers, known professionally as Brie Larson, is an American actress, musician and director. Born in Sacramento, California, Larson was home schooled before she studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater. She began her acting career in television, appearing as a regular on the 2001 sitcom Raising Dad, for which she was nominated for a Young Artist Award.

As a teenager, Larson had brief roles in the 2004 films 13 Going on 30 and Sleepover. Her performance in the comedy film Hoot (2006) was praised, and she subsequently played supporting roles in the films Greenberg (2010), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), 21 Jump Street (2012), and Don Jon (2013). From 2009 to 2011, Larson featured as a rebellious teenager in the television series United States of Tara.

Larson’s breakthrough role came with the independent drama Short Term 12 (2013), for which she received critical acclaim. Further success came in 2015 when she starred in Room, an acclaimed drama based on Emma Donoghue’s novel of the same name. She won several awards for her portrayal in the film of a troubled mother kidnap victim in the film, including the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Critic’s Choice Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and Canadian Screen Award for Best Actress. In 2017, she starred as a war photographer in the adventure film Kong: Skull Island, her highest-grossing release. 2013 – Tom Clancy

Born: 12 April 1947

Thomas Leo “Tom” Clancy Jr. was an American novelist best known for his technically detailed espionage and military-science story lines set during and after the Cold War. Seventeen of his novels were bestsellers, and more than 100 million copies of his books are in print. His name was also used on movie scripts written by ghost writers, nonfiction books on military subjects, and video games. He was a part-owner of the Baltimore Orioles and vice-chairman of their community activities and public affairs committees.

Clancy’s literary career began in 1984 when he sold The Hunt for Red October for $5,000. His works, The Hunt for Red October (1984), Patriot Games (1987), Clear and Present Danger (1989), and The Sum of All Fears (1991), have been turned into commercially successful films. Actors Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Chris Pine have played Clancy’s most famous fictional character, Jack Ryan; his second-most famous character, John Clark, has been played by actors Willem Dafoe and Liev Schreiber.

Mark Richard Hamill is an American actor, voice actor, and writer. He is best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars film series. His other works include Corvette Summer (1978) and The Big Red One (1980), among other television series and films. Hamill has also appeared on stage in several theater productions, primarily during the 1980s.

Hamill is a prolific voice actor who has voiced characters in many animated television series, films, and video games since the 1970s. He is known for his long-standing role as DC Comics’ the Joker, commencing with Batman: The Animated Series in 1992.

Roudolphe Douala M’bela, known as Douala, is a Cameroonian retired footballer.

Mainly a winger he could also operate as a forward, and played professionally in five countries, mainly in Portugal. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 213 games and 34 goals over the course of nine seasons, notably representing in the competition Sporting (three years), Boavista and União de Leiria (two apiece).

He first came to attention for his work with Derrick Comedy while a student at NYU and, with the help of Tina Fey, was hired at the age of 23 to become a writer for the NBC sitcom 30 Rock. He later portrayed community college student Troy Barnes on the NBC sitcom Community. He currently stars in the FX series Atlanta, which he also created and occasionally directs. For his work on Atlanta, Glover has won various accolades, including Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, and Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy.

Sir Ian Holm CBE is an English actor known for his stage work and many film roles. He received the 1967 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor for his performance as Lenny in The Homecoming and the 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor for his performance in the title role of King Lear. He won the 1981 BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role as athletics trainer Sam Mussabini in Chariots of Fire, for which he was also nominated for an Academy Award.
His other well-known film roles include Ash in Alien, Sir William Gull in From Hell, Father Vito Cornelius in The Fifth Element, and the hobbit Bilbo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film series.
