Famous Births and Deaths on this day in history
The Alexandra Daddario Page
Alexandra Anna Daddario (born March 16, 1986) is an American actress and model. She is best known for playing Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson film series and Blake in San Andreas. She starred in the films Texas Chainsaw 3D and Hall Pass, and has guest starred in series including White Collar, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the first season of True Detective and American Horror Story: Hotel.
In San Andreas, California is experiencing a statewide earthquake that goes on record as easily the biggest earthquake in history. Dwayne Johnson plays Ray Gaines, a helicopter rescue pilot for the Los Angeles Fire Department, who is trying to find his daughter, Blake (Alexandra Daddario), who is in San Francisco amidst the chaos. Ray’s estranged wife, Emma, is forced to turn to Ray for help, as he is her last resort. Together they journey to save their daughter.
Well the special effects are good if nothing we haven’t seen before. The film though is terrible. Carla Cugino is limited to just shouting “Ray” every few minutes. We have two stereotypically American idea of the British (played by an Aussie and an Irishman) and the villian is also upperclass British (at least this time played by a Welshman). Alexandra Dadadario is only required to show her cleavage as often as possible (not a bad thing I must say) and somehow survives the longest CPR in cinema history with no adverse affects . I will not be watching again.
