1928 – Bernard Cribbins

Bernard Joseph Cribbins, OBE is an English character actor, voice-over artist and musical comedian with a career spanning over seventy years. He came to prominence in films of the 1960s, and has been in work consistently since his professional debut in the mid-1950s.

Cribbins narrated The Wombles, a BBC children’s television programme that ran for 60 episodes between 1973 and 1975, and played the pretentious guest Mr. Hutchinson in “The Hotel Inspectors” episode of Fawlty Towers (1975), and the belligerent barman in Alfred Hitchcock’s Frenzy (1972). He also recorded several novelty records in the early 1960s and was a regular and prolific performer on the BBC’s Jackanory from 1966 to 1991. Having appeared as Tom Campbell, a companion to Doctor Who in the 1966 feature film Daleks – Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D., Cribbins also appeared four decades later as Wilfred Mott, a companion to television’s Tenth Doctor.

Jane Colburn Levy is an American actress. In early 2011, she received popular recognition starring as Tessa Altman, a leading character on the ABC comedy series Suburgatory (2011-14).

1993 – Pavel Srnicek

Born: 10 March 1968

Pavel Srnicek was a Czech professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper from 1990 to 2007, mainly for Newcastle United. In addition, he represented Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth and West Ham United in England, and also played in Italy for Brescia and Cosenza, in Portugal for Beira-Mar, and in his native country for Banik Ostrava. After retiring, he worked as a goalkeeping coach for his own private school and for Sparta Prague.

Srnicek played internationally for the Czech Republic from 1994 to 2001, earning a total of 49 caps. He was part of their squad that came runners-up at UEFA Euro 96, and was their first-choice goalkeeper when they came third at the 1997 FIFA Confederations Cup and contested UEFA Euro 2000.

Srnicek played 4 times for Portsmouth between 2003 – 2004

1932 – Nichelle Nichols

Nichelle Nichols is an American actress, singer and voice artist. She sang with Duke Ellington and Lionel Hampton before turning to acting. Her most famous role is that of communications officer Lieutenant Uhura aboard the USS Enterprise in the popular Star Trek television series (1966–1969), as well as the succeeding motion pictures, where her character was eventually promoted in Starfleet to the rank of commander.

Nichols’ Star Trek character, one of the first African American female characters on American television not portrayed as a servant, was groundbreaking in U.S. society. Civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. asked her to remain when she considered leaving the series.

Francis O’Kelly better known by his stage name of Frank Kelly, was an Irish actor, singer and writer, whose career covered television, radio, theatre, music, screenwriting and film. He played Father Jack Hackett in the Channel Four sitcom Father Ted, and was also the son of the cartoonist Charles E. Kelly.

Brendan Patrick Hines is an American actor and singer-songwriter. He has had a number of television roles, including as part of the main cast of Lie to Me as well as recurring roles in Scandal, Betrayal, Suits, Scorpion, Secrets and Lies and is currently part of the cast of Amazon Video’s The Tick. Hines has also had leading roles in a handful of films, and released three albums.

1980 – Lomana LuaLua

Trésor Lomana LuaLua is a Congolese footballer who plays as a striker.

LuaLua was born in Kinshasa, but moved to England at a young age. After impressing in a college football match, he signed for Colchester United. There, he scored a total of 21 goals in 68 appearances which prompted Newcastle United to sign him. However, the competition for places meant he was less of a regular in the first team, and after four seasons and 88 appearances, he transferred to Portsmouth, the club that had previously loaned him for three months while at Newcastle. He remained there for three seasons, but his spell was marred by disciplinary problems and malaria. After leaving Portsmouth, he moved teams frequently, representing sides in Greece, Qatar, Cyprus and Turkey, in addition to a brief return to English football at Blackpool. LuaLua received his first of 31 international caps in 2002, and scored seven goals in an eleven-year international career. He represented his national team at four Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

1953 – Bobby Doyle

Robert “Bobby” Doyle is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a central midfielder.

Doyle began his career at Barnsley before moving to Peterborough United in 1976. He moved to Blackpool F.C. in 1979, making 49 league appearances and scoring two goals, before joining Portsmouth in November 1980, winning the Third Division championship in 1983. A move to Hull City followed two years later where he established himself in midfield during the club’s promotion bid in 1985-86, before a broken leg in a pre-season friendly ended his career.

Mark Nicholas Stimson is an English former footballer and is currently manager of Thurrock. He signed his first professional contract with Tottenham Hotspur in 1985, but was unable to gain a regular place in the team. In 1989, he moved on to Newcastle United, where he made over 80 appearances in the Football League. He later played for Portsmouth, Southend United and Leyton Orient before dropping into non-League football.

Christopher Kamara is an English former professional footballer and football manager who now works as a presenter and football analyst at Sky Sports.

As a player, he was known as a tough-tackling midfielder. He joined the Royal Navy at the age of 16, before being signed up to Portsmouth in November 1974. He spent three years at the club before being sold on to Swindon Town for £14,000. He returned to Portsmouth in 1981 for a £50,000 fee, but was traded to Brentford in October 1981. He spent four years with the “Bees” before leaving the club after picking up a runners-up medal in the Football League Trophy in 1985.

Harry Julius Shearer is an American actor, voice actor, comedian, writer, musician, radio host, director and producer. He is known for his long-running roles on The Simpsons, his work on Saturday Night Live, the comedy band Spinal Tap and his radio program Le Show. Born in Los Angeles, California, Shearer began his career as a child actor. From 1969 to 1976, Shearer was a member of The Credibility Gap, a radio comedy group. Following the breakup of the group, Shearer co-wrote the film Real Life with Albert Brooks and started writing for Martin Mull’s television series Fernwood 2 Night.

Luke Nightingale is a retired footballer. Having previously played for Portsmouth, Swindon, Weymouth and Southend he moved to Bognor Regis Town in 2004. He scored over 70 goals for Bognor in his four-year spell. However, on 28 March 2008, he was sold by Bognor Regis Town to Havant & Waterlooville in a player swap with Phil Warner. In January 2010 he returned to Bognor Regis Town, on loan for the remainder of the season, although a knee injury ended his season prematurely. Back to full fitness, he then re-joined Bognor Regis Town on a permanent basis for season 2010–11. 1952 – Jenny Agutter

Jennifer Ann Agutter OBE is a British actress. She began her career as a child actress in 1964’s East of Sudan and went on to appear in Star! and two adaptations of The Railway Children—the BBC’s 1968 television adaptation and the 1970 film version. She also starred in the critically acclaimed 1971 film Walkabout, before moving to Hollywood in 1974. Her Hollywood film roles included parts in Logan’s Run (1976), An American Werewolf in London (1981) and Child’s Play 2 (1990). Agutter won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama for the 1971 TV film The Snow Goose, and the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for playing Jill Mason in the 1977 film Equus.

After returning to Britain in the early 1990s to pursue family life, Agutter shifted her focus to television, and in 2000 she appeared in a new television adaptation of The Railway Children, this time taking on the role of the mother. Since then she has worked steadily in several British television dramas, including Spooks (2002–03), and Call the Midwife (2012–present).

David Forde is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for League Two club Cambridge United. Internationally, Forde plays for the Republic of Ireland and was part of the team’s 23-man squad for the 2012 European Championships. In 2013, he became the oldest player to make their competitive debut for the Republic of Ireland, when he played against Sweden at the age of 33.

Forde started his career with his hometown club Galway United in 1999. After two seasons with Galway, he moved to Welsh League Champions Barry Town and from there to West Ham United. Forde failed to make a first team appearance for West Ham, and after loan spells with Derry City and Barnet he returned to Ireland on a permanent basis, playing with Galway United and then Derry City. In 2007 Forde returned to the English leagues, joining Championship side Cardiff City. During his time with Cardiff, Forde made loan moves to Luton Town and Bournemouth. In 2008, he moved to Millwall, for whom he has made more professional appearances than all his previous clubs together. In 2016, after eight seasons with Millwall, Forde went out on loan to Portsmouth in League Two.

In recent years she has starred films such as the remake of Dad’s Army opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones and Bill Nighy and will co-star alongside Jennifer Saunders in Disney’s live action picture, Patrick in 2018. She starred alongside Harvey Kietel and Gabriel Byrne in British film Lies We Tell. She has also starred in television programmes such as Rock and Chips (BBC), Little Crackers (Sky One), The Keith Lemon Sketch Show (ITV2) and The Tracey Ullman Show (BBC).

Bridgit Claire Mendler is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. Mendler has a degree in Anthropology from the University of Southern California. In 2004, she began her career in the animated Indian film The Legend of Buddha, later starring in the films Alice Upside Down, The Clique and Labor Pains as a teenager. In 2009, Mendler signed with Disney Channel and played Juliet van Heusen on Wizards of Waverly Place. Following the positive reception to her character, she landed the role of Teddy Duncan on the Disney series Good Luck Charlie, which ran from April 2010 to February 2014. Mendler also notably starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth in 2011.

Majel Barrett-Roddenberry was an American actress and producer. She is best known for her roles as Nurse Christine Chapel in the original Star Trek series and Lwaxana Troi on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, as well as for being the voice of most onboard computer interfaces throughout the series. She became the second wife of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry.
