Stephanie Italia Ricci (born October 29, 1986) is a Canadian actress mostly known for playing “Emily Rhodes” in Designated Survivor.

Ricci made her major acting debut in 2007, in the American Pie direct-to-video film, Beta House. She then went on to have a recurring role on the Disney XD series Aaron Stone. Ricci also appeared in the music video “Hate” by Plain White T’s as the ex-girlfriend.

During 2009, Ricci began appearing in American productions with minor roles in How I Met Your Mother, House and Greek. During that same year she had a recurring role in the Comedy Central series Secret Girlfriend as Sasha. In 2010, she co-starred in the Cartoon Network live-action series Unnatural History as Maggie Winnock. She also appeared in a Clean & Clear commercial as herself. In 2011, she appeared in the short film Valediction.

In 2013, Ricci appeared in a small role in Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut film Don Jon. Also in 2013, she was cast in the lead role of April Carver in the ABC Family series Chasing Life. The series premiered in 2014. On October 2, 2015, ABC Family canceled Chasing Life after two seasons.

Ricci joined the cast of Supergirl in December 2015 as Siobhan Smythe (aka “Silver Banshee”) – the character transforms from Kara’s rival and CatCo mean girl to full-on villain. “I think they do a really good job with telling that story in a way that keeps her honest and doesn’t paint her as a one-dimensional villain,” Ricci says of her character. “You can see that there is still a good person somewhere in there; it’s just she’s choosing to put her away for now.” Ricci is no stranger to the DC universe. Her husband Robbie Amell played Firestorm on The Flash in season one, and Robbie’s cousin, Stephen Amell, is Oliver Queen on Arrow.

Since September 2016, Ricci has starred as Emily Rhodes in the ABC political drama Designated Survivor.
